Ride Description

Check out the Hall Ranch Trails here.  We'll actually start this ride at Sandstone Park, across the road from Orkar Blues (to the South).  From there we'll ride up Apple Valley Road & Antelope drive to Antelope Trail. We then pick up the Nelson Loop (Clockwise) and then back down to the Bitterbrush Trail.

The Lower Bitterbrush Trail is very technical, and no bad karma comes to those that walk through the toughest sections of the "Rock Garden". At least we'll be riding this downhill.  After we make it back to the trailhead (hopefully in one piece) we coast back into town, throw the bikes back on the cars and stroll over to Oskar Blues for brews and food.

Be prepared for ~2 hours of riding; plus, I probably don't need to say this, but be prepared for the possibility of cold rain.

Please RSVP for this event so we have a good headcount for the number of riders!

Important Info about the Rides:

  1. All riders MUST wear a helmet, bring water, and have a trail-ready bike. Riders should also carry the usual basics: spare tube(s), a pump, tire levers, a chain tool, and basic Allen wrenches.
  2. All riders ride at their own risk; group leaders take no responsibility for rider safety/injury.
  3. Riders must sign a liability waiver once during the season. If this is your first ride of the season, please bring a signed waiver with you or be prepared to complete one at the meeting spot.
  4. This ride launches at 6:00 pm so be at the trail head by 5:45 pm, dressed and ready to roll by 6:00 pm.
  5. If the weather is iffy, make sure to check the website after 4:00 pm on the day of the ride for updated info.  If you signed up for the ride, you will be notified by email if it's cancelled.
  6. For planning purposes please sign up (see below if you're signed in) for this event ahead of time. This is not mandatory, but helps us with planning. You need to be registered as a website user and as a member of the BOSS Rides Group.   This does not require BMA membership.....but why wouldn't you want to be a member?
  7. This ride is limited to 24 riders.   If you're not signed up, and we reach 24 riders, you will not be premitted to join us.

If you have any trouble figuring any of this out, drop us an email at wenr@bouldermountainbike.org
