Open House for Community Ditch Hwy 93 Crossing
Do you hate running the gauntlet across Hwy 93 when riding the Community Ditch Trail? Here's your chance to have a say on a safer crossing for all trail users.
Boulder County Transportation, CDOT Region 4, and the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) are hosting a public open house next Thursday to review some preliminary plans for the addition of road shoulders to Highway 93 from Eldorado Springs Road (Hwy 170) to Highway 128, and for a proposed grade-separated trail crossing for the Community Ditch Trail. The meeting is an open house format. Members of the public are invited to stop by anytime during these hours to view the project scope and discuss aspects of the highway design and/or trail crossing with members of the design team.

Information for review includes a preliminary sketch of what the project may look like given current plan to add bicycle shoulders to the highway; schematic drawings of three potential trail crossing alternatives; and information on potential aesthetic treatments to improve the look of the highway and reduce the potential visual impacts of the project.
Information on the project is posted on the County website: http://www.bouldercounty.org/roads/plans/pages/highway93shoulders.aspx. Updates will be posted as additional information on the project becomes available.
