School Bus Trail

Trail Meter:

School Bus Trail is open during the West Mag logging closure

Please note that the southern boundary of the closure is "north of National Forest System Road 105.1", meaning that School Bus (Bus 'n Shack) will still be open and accessible from the south, via the Rollinsville/Shoshoni Meadow and/or the Forest Service Work Center climb.

The lower half has dried out and has great tacky soil.
Above that you start hitting stretches of packed snow and some mud, rideable all the way to the top.

Lower school bus is tacky from melted snow. Upper school bus was killer fun on a fat bike, but getting to the top is difficult with about 4" of snow on the ground

all trails open and as good a condition as they ever are... wildflowers are incredible...

Mostly great, but some very wide and deep puddles towards the top

Just a few low spots with mud. Rode right through them with no problems.

Good to go.

condition set to Good

Trail is in good shape up to the last road crossing. The section up to the Nederdrome / toilet bowl is still quite wet. This portion could use a little more time to dry out, although it can be ridden with some care.

Trail Meter: Fair»Good

Snow almost all gone as of June 2nd, but there is dead fall just below the top of the climb.

Good below 105. Snow drifts start after crossing the road, and largely overwhelm the trail about half way up the switchbacks
