Buchanan Pass Trail

Trail Meter:
Good

Are you up for a challenge? No? Click that back button. Yes? This is one of the harder trails you'll encounter. It's brutally technical. To get to the start of the trail, head west through Camp Dick to the western edge of the campground. There's a good sized parking lot at the start of County Road 92J that heads west to the wilderness boundary. Head up the jeep road keeping an eye out to your right for the start of the trail that immediately crosses the creek. Here's your first decision: Climb, descend, or both?

What do you expect on trail? Rocks! Technical moves! Possibly lots of blood!

Unridable due to relentless deadfall (every 100 to 200 feet). Also multiple sections with water running down trail.

Seasonal trail conditions exist. Please do not ride muddy trails.

Good fat biking on the lower portion, but the wind has created a lot of uncolsoldated snow. Tough to get more than a mile from the bridge

Tried riding on Weds 12/14 night - new snow coming down and filling our tracks. We had rideable downhills, but not rideable uphills.
